Why buy from Artesano de México

Every piece on this page comes from a family-run workshop we visit twice a year. We carry small batches of Talavera ceramics from Puebla, hand-woven rugs and runners from Oaxacan villages, vegetable-tanned leather from León, and tin and copper homewares from San Miguel de Allende.

We pay our artisans before pieces ship — no consignment, no late invoices. The price you see is the maker’s price plus shipping, duty and a margin small enough that we know each artisan by name. Variations in colour and shape are normal: that’s what hand-made means.
